A two-stage PM-VSD screw compressor compresses air in two stages with cooling in between, driven by an IE5 permanent magnet motor on a variable-speed drive.

The compression is split into two stages with cooling in between, and the whole air end is driven by an IE5 permanent magnet motor on a variable-speed drive. The result is a compressor built for continuous duty on industrial plant air.

How it works

Air enters the first-stage chamber through the air filter, mixes with a small amount of lubricant and is compressed to the inter-stage pressure. The gas then passes through a cooling channel where it meets oil mist and its temperature drops substantially. The cooled gas enters the second-stage rotor for final compression and leaves through the discharge flange.
